How to change a fuse
Switching out a fuse on a plug is an easy task anyone can do to increase the longevity of your electronic devices at home. Depending on how old your electronic device is, you will need a Philips screwdriver for an older device and a flathead screwdriver for a newer one.
Method
For newer devices, use a flathead screwdriver to tilt up the fuse carrier to reveal the fuse.
Switch out the old fuse for a new one by removing the existing fuse from the carrier, then clip the new one into the fuse carrier.
Now, push the fuse carrier back into the plug.
For older devices, use a Philips screwdriver to unscrew the front cover screws which will release the back cover on the plug.
Switch out the old fuse for a new one by removing the existing fuse from the fuse holder, then clipping in the new one.
Once the new fuse is in place, re-fit the back plate to the plug and secure the screws on the front cover.
Now, check if it works by plugging it back into a power outlet and turning it on.
