Who is eligible for a loft insulation grant?

If you’re hoping to get a loft insulation grant, you’ll need to fit a certain criteria. If you own your home, have an energy rating of D or below, are in council tax band A-D in England and have a household income of under £31,000, amongst other things, you may be eligible for the grant.

How thick should loft insulation be?

According to building regulations, insulation for lofts should be at least 270mm thick if using mineral or glass wool and you live in the UK. This is a great starting point for saving money on energy.
