FAQs
What’s coving?
Coving is a moulding used to decorate a home, which covers the joint between walls and ceilings. This creates a seamless transition while adding dimension to a plain space.
How do you put up coving?
To put up your coving, you’ll need to start by cleaning the wall and ceiling before measuring and cutting your coving to fit. Then, apply adhesive on the back edges and press the coving into place, ensuring its aligned. You can use filler for any joints or edges. For more guidance, we have a helpful how to fit coving article.
How do you cut coving?
You’ll need a mitre box and a fine-toothed saw to cut your coving. Measure your desired length, marking it with a pencil before positioning your coving in the mitre box. You should place your coving upside down when doing this to replicate its positioning when installed. Always saw carefully for a proper clean cut. You can find more information on cutting coving in our cutting coving guide that’s linked above.
