Drilling into tiles can seem daunting at first, but it's easier than it looks! Kimberley will show you how to do it.

Kimberley also shows us how to install acoustic panels and how to hang wallpaper in this series.

Method

Decide on where you would like your mirror to go and begin measuring.

Measure the brackets on the back of the mirror and transfer these measurements to the wall.

Begin drilling through the tile making sure that you are using the correct drill bit – this can be a ceramic and porcelain or a diamond drill bit. Start by drilling slowly and gradually increase the speed.

Determine the wall type that is behind the tile. Then use the appropriate drill bit and wall plugs (if needed) depending on the wall type.

Screw in the brackets, tightening them most of the way. Make sure that both brackets are level before tightening the screws the rest of the way.

Finish by hanging your mirror!
